The Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee's Accessibility Map project has become a prize-winner at the 20th International Advertising Festival, Golden Drum 2013, in the category "Websites and Microsites".
The ceremony took place on October 9-11 in the town of Portorož, Slovenia.
Approximately 1,400 projects from across 26 European countries applied for the award, including 300 projects from Russia.
The Accessibility map website has not only received praise from the members of the Golden Drum judging panel but also got a bronze medal at the 7th International Social Advertising Festival "It's time!-2013". The Festival's judging panel was made up of leading specialists in the field of advertising and publishing.
The www.kartadostupnosti.ru website has become increasingly popular and currently provides information on 11,000 sports venues for people with disabilities.

The Accessibility Map is one of the key projects for the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee designed to raise awareness of the Paralympic Games and Paralympic values and create and promote a barrier free environment across Russia. The Accessibility Map was launched on October 23, 2012 during the celebration of 500 days to go till the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Games.
At the moment, the portal is hosting a competition to find the most active user and will offer the winner tickets to the first ever Paralympic Games in Russia.
